Your Privacy Is Important To Us

1. Linchpin Succession Management (LSM) has created this Privacy Policy and Information Collection Statement (together referred to as "this Privacy Policy ") in order to demonstrate its firm commitment to privacy.

2. LSM is bound by the Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles (NPP).

3. LSM will update this privacy policy as required. If it is changed, the changes will be posted on LSM's website so that you are always aware of the sort of information collected, how the information may be used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed by LSM.

4. Please note that if at any time LSM is required by law to release information about you or your organisation, LSM must cooperate fully.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to acts or practices of LSM that are directly related to employee records of current or former employees.

What Sort Of Information Does LSM Collect?

5. LSM collects information about you ("the Information") in the following ways:-

  • LSM collects information directly from you or your organisation when you engage us to provide you with strategic planning, business planning, succession planning, and management consulting services.
  • When you correspond with us both electronically and non-electronically or meet with us we record any details which might be relevant to help us provide you with the services that we are engaged to perform.
  • LSM collects information from its alliance partners when it is providing services to clients. An example of this is when we speak to your insurance broker or solicitor to clarify details connected with the work we are doing.

What Happens If You Do Not Provide The Information?

6. If you do not provide us with the information that we request we are unable to complete the work that you have engaged us to perform. As a result we cannot provide accurate advice and consulting services to you, which may be to the detriment to you or your business in the long term.

Why Does LSM Collect the Information & How Is Your Information Used By LSM?

7. LSM collects the Information to provide you with the various services that you have engaged us to perform. For example, we may use the information you provide us to provide strategic planning, business planning, succession planning, and management consulting services.

8. LSM also uses the Information to send you information (either by e-mail or post) that you request.

9. LSM will also use the information to send you information not explicitly requested. The purpose of such information includes advertising upcoming seminars and workshops which you might be interested in.

10. LSM does not provide your information to third parties unless otherwise approved by you for example your bank.

If at any time you receive material that you did not request or you do not want to receive such material any more, see Correcting and Updating Your Profile below.

To Whom Does LSM Disclose Personal Information?

11. LSM will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise supply to third parties any personal information obtained from you unless you consent.

12. LSM develops aggregate (ie. not individual) reports which incorporate some of the Information. The reports are for use by our business partners. However, these reports do not include any personally identifiable information.

How Will LSM Keep Your Personal Information Secure?

13. LSM has security measures designed to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of the Information under its control.

14. These security measures include:-

  • Premises that are fully secured with security keys and access codes required for entry after business hours.
  • Access to our computer systems are restricted and all data is password protected. We have also invested in firewall security.
  • Implementation of Gateway Security to protect against virus, Trojan and intrusion detection.
  • All LSM Consultants and employees, as part of their employment contracts, are required to sign confidentiality agreements. These agreements are specifically designed to protect the privacy of our clients and their businesses.
  • Permanently held data is only maintained electronically.

Correcting & Updating Your Profile

15. LSM gives you the following options for accessing and modifying Information previously provided.

  • You may gain access to Information that LSM has collected about you, by contacting the person named below. We will not charge you for responding to such a request, unless we incur costs in providing the information.
  • You can email any changes to your personal or business details to the person whose details are listed below.
